The Sitka Spruced project team is releasing outreach summaries that introduce scientific techniques and their forestry applications. Each one-page document uses a combination of text and graphics to explain an aspect of science used in the Sitka Spruced project, covering topics from genomic prediction to insect resistance. Developed in collaboration with Oxford University Innovations (OUI) and industry partners, the summaries are intended to help forestry end users evaluate the potential of genomics for their operation. A new summary will be released via social media each month and will also be available as a downloadable pdf under the ‘Forestry Applications’ tab.
